My first Go KartSince my childhood, I have always been surrounded by motorsport and racing. Like every child who falls in love with the sport, I had posters in my room of the greatest champions: Brazilian ace Ayrton Senna, Switzerland’s own Jo Siffert but also NASCAR ace Jeff Gordon.

What do all these exceptional drivers have in common? Talent, of course, and a touch of luck, but above all, the ability to work without limitations, and without ever giving up. I intend to make these virtues my own.

To make my dream come true, I knew I had to move from Switzerland to find a suitable environment to improve my skills.

First stop: Le Mans, France. Over 4 years I had the great opportunity to enter a sports & studies program. I was twice France’s karting Vice Champion, winner of the ACO Steering Wheel Trophy and I took part in my first competitive season and won the title of Formul’Academy Euro Series Vice Champion.

In 2011, with a brand new team in the category, I fought hard and finally clinched the runner-up spot in the Alps (South European) Formula Renault 2.0 championship. With this result, I have been given the precious opportunity to test a Formula 3.5 – just one step before F1.

Being European, racing in F1 has always been my dream, though I’ve never underestimated a career in the United States. With two races in 2013 in the European NASCAR Series, and with the title of Rookie Of The Year in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series in 2014, I’m deeply convinced that I have what it takes to succeed in NASCAR.

I left home at the age of 15 in order to build an independent life comprising study and sport. This brought joys and challenges, trials and tribulations but it all stiffened my resolve and my conviction that the road to success is still in front of me!
